Bitumen Melting Boiler (Electrical)

DEFINITION:
It is a melting boiler with electric motor and electric heater used for controlled heating of bituminous products.
Areas of use:
Penetration and blown bitumen varieties are used for melting Emulderz Bituminous Joint Sealant, Emulderz Ray bituminous sealant, Rebastar Reflective tape primer and similar products.
ADVANTAGES:
Thanks to the thermostat control, it ensures the use of bituminous products without exceeding the maximum application temperature.
It allows melting in bulk.
Melting is carried out without heat loss thanks to external thermal insulation.
BOILER PREPARATION:
The boiler should be placed in a place with as little wind as possible, and the wheel brakes should be fixed.
It should be noted that the reflective “Emul Jul” boards located on the 4 sides of the boiler are clean.
If the heat transfer oil is missing, it should be added from the filling valve, but it should be remembered that the oil may expand and overflow after the boiler heater is burned. Overflowing oil should be collected by installing a container on the filling valve. Heat transfer oil should definitely be used in the hot oil boiler; definitely different products (turbine oil, lubricating oils, diesel or hydraulic oil, etc.) should not be used.
application:
The screw mixer motor should be started at short intervals and the melting of the material should be facilitated. December 19, 2016. The insulated hinged lid should be kept closed to prevent heat loss. The bituminous product that reaches the specified temperature is taken to the bulk buckets from the 2" outlet valve.
BOILER CLEANING:
The product inside should be emptied while it is still hot. Diesel or industrial solvents can be used after the boiler has cooled completely for a complete cleaning.

WARNINGS:
Volatile substances such as gas and gasoline are definitely not mixed with hot asphalt.
Special equipment should be used when working with hot asphalt.
The steam of hot asphalt should not be inhaled.(P23)
An air mask should be used when working in closed areas.
Keep out of reach of children.(S2)
Eyes and skin should be protected during studies with all chemical substances.(P24/25)
