Butyl Tape

Description
Butyl rubber-based insulating and filling tape that is single or double-sided adhesive, capable of adhering perfectly to various surfaces.
Usage Areas
It is used;
For water impermeability in construction industry,
In ventilation ducts for air tightness.
In connection point in steel tiles on corrugated sheets,
As sound and vibration absorbent in automotive and consumer goods sectors.
For waterproofing of the modular metal water tanks.
In joints and endings of up facade panels.
Advantages
Depending on requirements, aluminum foil or nonwoven fabrics can be laminated on to one side of the tape.
It is resistant to water and solvents.
Butyl Tape retains its properties for a long time.
It does not lose its properties between -30 and +800C.
Surface Preparation
The application surface must be dry.
Application surface should be cleaned from anti-adhesion materials such as dust, grease, paint, curing agents, cement grout, rust, detergent, mold oil and silicone.
After sweeping the floor thoroughly with a stiff broom or wire brush, clean the surface from dust with a soft broom or a vacuum cleaning device.
Application
Tape should be adhered to the surface by opening the rolls. The tape must be pressed with the roll to ensure perfect adhesion. For double side adhesive types, the silicon paper should be removed and the other material pressed on to the tape
